NYLAG - New York Legal Assistance Group has been around since 1990 and has been helping New Yorkers with a wide range of legal issues. I have used the group as a resource for many years and today I'd like to talk about the group's consumer rights program -- "Our attorneys fight zealously for the rights of individuals and families who have become victims of abusive, deceptive, and unfair debt collection and lending practices and help get them out of debt" These are attorneys and other legal experts who really help New Yorkers who can't help themselves. I am particularly impressed with their work to stop predatory debt collection and consumer fraud.
